These Terms govern your use of the SONARA Android music player. By installing or using
SONARA, you agree to these Terms.
Effective date: June 20, 2026
1. Eligibility and acceptance
You may use SONARA only if you can legally agree to these Terms in your country. If you are
under the legal age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these
Terms for you. Do not use SONARA if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
2. Limited license
Subject to these Terms, the SONARA developer grants you a personal, limited, revocable,
non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use SONARA on devices you own or
control for lawful, personal use.
SONARA and its original software, design, branding and documentation remain the property of
the developer or applicable licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership or grant rights
to use SONARA branding outside the app.
3. Your music, files and content
SONARA plays media available on your device. You retain ownership of your files and are
responsible for ensuring that you have the rights or permission required to store, play,
edit, share or otherwise use them.
SONARA does not grant music licenses and must not be used to infringe copyright or other
rights. Editing metadata, assigning artwork, setting a ringtone, sharing a file or searching
for lyrics does not change your legal responsibilities.
Back up important files before using any feature that modifies media metadata or system
settings. Although SONARA is designed to avoid damaging source files, software and storage
failures can occur.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
use SONARA for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent or infringing activity;
circumvent security controls, permissions, access restrictions or usage limits;
reverse engineer, redistribute or commercially exploit SONARA except where law expressly permits it;
introduce malware, interfere with the app or its connected services, or overload those services;
misrepresent your relationship with SONARA or use its name, artwork or identity without permission; or
use online lyrics or other third-party content in violation of the provider's terms or applicable law.
5. Third-party services and content
Optional features may open or communicate with third-party services, including LRCLIB,
your browser, email application, Android system services and Google Play. Third-party
services and content are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Lyrics, album information, search results and other third-party material may be incomplete,
unavailable, inaccurate or subject to separate intellectual-property rights. SONARA does not
guarantee or endorse that material.
6. Availability, updates and changes
SONARA may receive updates that add, change or remove features, fix defects, improve
security or meet platform requirements. Device model, Android version, permissions, battery
controls and third-party service availability may affect functionality.
We may suspend or discontinue all or part of SONARA where reasonably necessary. We do not
promise that every feature will always be available or that the app will support every file,
device, accessory or service.
7. Privacy
SONARA's handling of information is described in the
SONARA Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SONARA is provided “as is” and “as available,”
without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement,
uninterrupted operation, accuracy or freedom from defects.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be
excluded in your jurisdiction.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SONARA developer will not be liable for
indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of data, lost profits,
device incompatibility, interrupted playback, unavailable lyrics or damage arising from
third-party services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid
directly for SONARA during the preceding twelve months or the minimum amount required by
applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using SONARA and uninstall it at any time. Your license ends automatically if
you materially violate these Terms. Provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers,
limitations of liability and dispute-related matters survive termination where applicable.
11. Governing rules and changes to these Terms
These Terms are governed by applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protections
available where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may resolve disputes that cannot
be settled informally.
We may update these Terms to reflect app, legal or operational changes. The effective date
will be revised, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use
after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
