Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SONARA, an offline-focused Android music player, accesses, uses, stores and shares information when you use the app.

Effective date: June 20, 2026

1. Scope and developer

This policy applies to the SONARA Android application, package name com.vibez.app. SONARA is developed and maintained by YAHYA, the SONARA developer.

SONARA does not require an account and does not operate a social profile, subscription account, or cloud music locker.

2. Information SONARA handles

Local media and library information

With your permission, SONARA reads audio files and related metadata available through Android MediaStore, such as song title, artist, album, duration, file location and album artwork. This is required to display and play your local library.

Information stored on your device

SONARA may store playlists, favorites, moods, hidden-song choices, recent searches, playback history and counts, equalizer and playback settings, app appearance settings, selected artwork or wallpaper references, cached lyrics and other app preferences. This information is stored in the app's private storage on your device and is not uploaded as a cloud library.

Connected audio-device information

SONARA may read the connected audio route and a device label supplied by Android to show headphone features. This information is used locally and is not used to track your physical location.

Diagnostics and app activity

The app includes Google Firebase components that can process technical information such as app interactions, installation identifiers, device/app details, crash traces and diagnostic data. The current production configuration disables automatic Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection by default. Development or diagnostic builds may enable these services. If production collection practices materially change, this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosure will be updated before that change is released.

3. Android permissions and their purpose

SONARA does not request access to your precise location, contacts, microphone or camera. You can revoke optional permissions in Android Settings, although the related feature may stop working.

4. Online features and third-party services

Lyrics

When SONARA searches for lyrics, it sends relevant music metadata—such as title, artist, album and approximate duration—to the SONARA lyrics proxy hosted on Cloudflare Workers. The proxy may request results from LRCLIB. These services also receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, user agent, request time and technical logs.

Firebase

Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics components are provided by Google. Where enabled, Google may process app activity, device/app information, identifiers and diagnostic data under its own terms and privacy documentation.

User-initiated external actions

Choosing “Search online” opens a web search in an external browser. Sending feedback or a lyrics report opens your email app and shares only the information shown in the prepared message after you choose to send it. External websites and apps have their own privacy practices.

Third-party resources: Google Firebase privacy, Cloudflare privacy, and LRCLIB documentation.

5. Sharing, advertising and sale of data

SONARA does not sell your personal information. SONARA does not share your local music library as a cloud catalog and does not use it for targeted advertising.

Information is disclosed only as needed to provide a feature you request, to the service providers described above, to comply with law, protect users or the service, or in connection with a legitimate transfer of the app's operation where legally permitted.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because SONARA has no user account, there is normally no account profile to delete. For a privacy or deletion request concerning information you believe was sent to the developer, contact us using the address below and provide enough detail to locate the information.

7. Security

SONARA uses Android's application sandbox, private app storage and encrypted HTTPS connections for supported online requests. Android cloud backup is disabled for SONARA. Access to local media is controlled by Android permissions.

No security method is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device and Android version updated and report suspected security issues to the contact below.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal information we control. You may also withdraw a permission through Android Settings and may clear local SONARA data at any time.

We do not discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.

9. Children's privacy

SONARA is a general-audience music utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to the developer, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

10. International processing and policy changes

Online service providers may process technical information in countries other than your own. Where required, those providers use legal safeguards for international transfers.

We may update this policy when SONARA's features, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website or store listing when appropriate.
